I need a new video card to play certain games such as battlefield 2 but I'm not sure what can fit.
Oh, and can someone please tell me how to open up the slimline s7712n?
Thanks|||It does have one slot for pci expressx16 - there are a lot of nice cards for it. Check out places like tigerdirect.com or newegg.com.
I think that case is like a clam shell design - look for release buttons on the side of the case.|||HP should have a manual on the slimline s7712n
something like the NVIDIA 8800s/9000s prolly won't fit
you'll probably want a low profile card or something like that

The HP DC7900 slimline video card slot?
is the hp dc7900 capable of holding a nvidia geforce 210 video card, or do you need a smaller form of video cards for slimline computers?|||Geforce 210, GT220, GTS 250 and even the new GT 430 come in low-profile flavor;
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis…
They should be fine for a slim form factor PC.|||If I have the correct info you have a case that is no more than 2.6 inches deep, and from the outside. I suspect you need a very low profile card. I did notice another point that may preclude many cards from consideration, you probably have a PSU of 135W. You also need a very low power card. I am not able to find the power rating on a GT 210 but the GT 220 runs a heft 58W and would probably be a difficult card to run in that power envelope. You have a very constrained system here.
Good luck.|||just depends upon the case really. They do make low profile cards, but the choices are limited. There are a few 5500 series ATI cards that are low profile, but I don't think I have seen any Nvidia 400 series low profile cards...

I wanted to know what video card would be compatible with my HP slimline desktop?
I believe the size of the computer may require a video card which is smaller. Which video card will work?|||If its a slimline computer, a regular PCI, agp, or pciX car will not fit into the computer. You need to find out what kind of avalible slots are in the computer if any. The smaller form factor pcs usually do not leave much room or standard expansion slots. Sometime the slimline computers will use a mini-pci video card but it all depends on the how the slimline computer is setup. Slim computers don't really conform to a standard computer setup so there generally difficult to upgrade.|||You need a low-profile video card. check out the following models:
64MB NVIDIA GeForce 7500LE, DVI-I, TV-out, VGA adapter
128MB NVIDIA GeForce 8300GS, DVI-I, TV-out
256MB NVIDIA GeForce 8400GS, DVI-I, HDMI

Hp Pavilion Slimline Graphics Card Upgrade?
.how to find a right side video card for my Hp Pavilion Slimline s3020n pc and where to buy it??? thank you|||Well, the only graphics cards which fit in slimline computer are low-profile models, which limits your choices right off the bat. Furthermore, many slimlines have proprietary power supplies which can't be upgraded, so even if you found a really good low-profile card, the computer might not be able to provide enough power for it.
Your best bet is the low-profile Radeon 4650, available online from NewEgg and Amazon for about $55:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as…
http://www.amazon.com/EAH4650-DI-512MD2-…
It's got decent performance and low power consumption. Like night and day compared to the standard integrated graphics built-in to your computer's motherboard :)
More powerful and expensive low-profile cards do exist (The GeForce 9600GT and amazingly, 9800GT) but those require a power supply upgrade, which may or may not be possible for your particular model.|||I just purchased and installed the MSI Radeon HD 5450 1GB DDR3 Low Profile video card into my HP Slimline s5310y machine (4GB RAM, Athlon II X2 250, Win7 64-bit) to play Portal 2 and LOVE IT. Huge performance boost. Super easy install, everything is smooth. R5450-MD1GD3H/LP Is the Part number.
|||it is a pci express slot so go to tigerdirect.com and search for pci express graphics cards. there is a lot of them however I would recommend a nvidia card with with atleast 512 mb of ram. that will get you a very very clear picture and is pretty cheap for what you get.|||Hp Pavilion Slimline s3020n Power Supply
Part # 5188-7520 Power supply - Regulated 160W power output (Arches)
The Slimline model doesn't have enough power to run a video card. A updrade to 200 watt power supply still isn't enough. No other power supplies fit the Slimline case.|||I suggest the Newegg slimline 9600GT, because it's the fastest slimline PCI-e 16x card available, and only costs about $115. It will work with any decent 400+ watt supply, and will honestly also be safe with the top-flight Seasonic ~300-350 watt mATX units.
You can also free download the right video card driver from this link http://www.downloadatoz.com/driver/type_sound-card.html

Hp pavilion slimline s7700n video card upgrade?
is it possible to upgrade the video card on this one? do i need a new case or something because i know that the graphics card is integrated and the case seems too small to add a video card...i am also not sure if there is a slot available to plug in a different video card...thank you..|||Unfortunately, the s7700n's graphics is not meant to be upgraded.
According to the specs, the s7700n has just one old non-express 33mHz PCI slot, which is totally unsuitable for graphics cards. http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/docum…
There are non-express PCI graphics cards available, but those will be SLOWER than your onboard graphics because they are terribly bottlenecked by the snail-slow 33mHz PCI transfer speed.
You want better graphics, you need a new computer with PCIExpress.

I have an HP slimline desktop PC my video card is intergrated on my motherboard need to change it. How?
Here is the deal my video card apparently got fried when I hooked up my hard drive to my tv to watch a movie. after reconnecting everything turn the color green. so I called HP and they said I need a new video card is it possible to switch it out.|||I have never used a Slimline, so what I have submitted may not work.
Add a new video card in the appropriate extra slot.
Then disable your old card. I have done this in the past for people.
It is very simple and works well on integrated audio also.
You can google the details. But make sure you get the new card up and running first with the correct drivers. Then disable your integrated card.
Will save you from having it repaired.
HP sometimes uses a "best guess".
Try re-installing the drivers to your current card.
Have you considered an "external graphics card"?
