I need a video card that will work on a hp slimline s5123w i have looked allover for an answer please help?

Both are suited to gaming and perform similarly. The 5750 uses less electricity, but is more expensive.

EDIT: The GTS 250 and 5750 will probably require a power supply upgrade on your part. Your computer only has a 200W power supply, and the recommended power supply for a GTS 250 or 5750 is 400W. The minimum I'd run either with is 300W.
