Does a new video card and power supply have to be compatible with my motherboard?

I have a HP Pavillion s3682d slimline PC

Motherboard Name: Irvine-GL6E

Video Card i intend to buy: nVidia GeForce GTS 250

the power supply isn't sufficient so i intend to get: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817152028

will these two additions be fully working if i install them?|||That's a fine power supply, and will work very well for you. Excellent video card as well, and your MB has a PCI-E card slot. My only question is do you need a low profile card for installation in that slimline case. I don't know myself, the regular size card should fit OK, but I would check by calling HP Customer support if there is any doubt about a full size card fitting in your case.
